Vacancy – Environmental Science Consultant
Streamlined Environmental is a unique environmental science-based consultancy. Our existing team of 6 scientists is engaged in a diverse range of interesting projects including research, decision making for high profile resource consent applications, plan changes and special tribunals, science to support effects assessments, model development, and advising central, regional, and local government on aspects of the NPS Freshwater Management and other policy initiatives. Because of current and predicted workload, we have a vacancy for an additional Environmental Science Consultant with skills that complement those of our existing team. The ideal candidate will be a NZ citizen or permanent resident with a post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline (preferably PhD), and at least 2 years of post-doc and/or consulting experience. The successful applicant will be based in our Hamilton office. More senior prospective applicants are encouraged to discuss their situation and aspirations with a Director before applying.
Interested applicants should peruse our website, taking notice of the skills of our existing team, the example projects, the skills we promote, and our company ethos. Along with a CV we require a covering letter in which you tell us how your skills and experience will complement or supplement those of existing team members. We have no preconceived notion of the type of skills we require, as experience has shown us that the best candidates often have skills outside of our initial preconceptions. However, your ability to imagine how you will fit into the company and assist with its growth and future direction will tell us a lot about the kind of person you are, and will be influential in deciding whether to short-list you for interview.
Applications should be sent to our administrator Julie Grant (email@example.com). All applications that supply a covering letter as above will be acknowledged. Interested persons with questions may contact any of the Directors listed on the website.
The position will remain open until filled.
